That I am a big fan of classic American cars, that must be old new for the most of you! While no other blog had ever attempted testing this detailed, I knew there was room for improvement. Als je regelmatig mijn auto blog een bezoekje brengt, dan weet je dat ik een grote liefhebber ben van mooie klassieke auto's. Maar dan vooral mijn grote liefde, de Volkswagen Golf GTI. Ik houdt ervan om regelmatig met mijn auto eropuit te trekken, dus gewoon een mooi toertochtje met de GTI op zijn tijd. Dat is altijd weer genieten geblazen, als ik met mijn auto de lokale binnenwegen onveilig maak. Dit moet toch gewoon kunnen vind ik persoonlijk, ondanks de grote druk die de milieu maffia de laatste tijd op iedereen uitoefent door iedereen maar een schuldcomplex aan te praten. Ik daarentegen trap daar niet meer in, en trek gewoon mijn eigen plan.

Laatst nog, het was zondag ochtend vroeg. Ik weet het nog goed, want ik had de avond ervoor flink wat biertjes naar binnen gegoten, en een knallende koppijn maakte mij veel te vroeg wakker. Zwaar geïrriteerd baande ik mijzelf een weg naar de wc. Daar overpeinsde ik mijn avond, en verwonderde mij wat er nou allemaal gebeurt was, en hoe dat vette mokkel in mijn bed beland was. Ik besloot deze knallende hoofdpijn weg te werken, met een hand vol aspirines, en een leuk ritje in mijn Volkswagen Golf GTI, dit om mijzelf weer even op te vrolijken. Ik word namelijk altijd erg blij als ik weer in mijn favoriete auto kan en mag rijden. Dus als het in het weekend een beetje lekker weer is, pak ik meteen de auto en trek de wijde wereld in.

Nou moet je weten, dat ik onlangs behoorlijk wat problemen met mijn VW Golfje heb gehad. Ik was lekker aan het toeren, iets te hard reed ik, dat dan weer wel. Toen heb ik met mijn zatte harses de koppakking eruit geblazen. Sta je daar op zo'n polderdijk, te blauwbekken, en te wachten op de ANWB. Die hebben hebben mijn auto, naar mijn huis gesleept. Toen zei een maat tegen mij, als je nou op zoek bent naar de beste onderdelen voor je Golf GTI, nou dan weet ik nog wel een leuk adresje. Nou ben ik zelf nogal handig met het gereedschap, dus die heb ik op mijn vrije zaterdag middag die koppakking staan te vervangen. Niet dat ik daar nou zo blij van werd. Maar goed, ik was weer even van de straat, en dus, ook de weg weer een stukje veiliger. Maar het goede nieuws is, mijn Golfje is weer helemaal in oude staat.

I looked over at that funny little steering wheal while I parked the Mini Cooper behind the building and think oh hell - no problem, I will find some spare parts for my Charger today! I was walking to the dealer, handed in my ticket stub or voucher by the entrance of the Dodge dealership and was hoping to get a commission! I love the Dodge Charger because it's so big and comfy. But unfortunately the car is broken down! I remembered, because it was a cold day but Henry provided me a huge blanket because his car has heating. I wonder why? I can't help it, I just love this car! My Dodge Charger destination was a one way ticket to the scrapheap, but when I will find the right parts for this cars by the factory. Or would all their efforts, no matter how valiant, prove to be in vain? I will try to fix it, no matter what! What better way to revisit a favorite holiday destination, or to explore a new area of United States than from behind the wheel of a sensational classic car?

A lot of people know that I am a huge fan of cars, I don’t have to tell you that. Therefore I would like to tell you something about my passion for Volkswagen cars, and in the first place the VW Beetle. The Volkswagen Beetle is a wonderful car for the money but I would recommend that any potential buyers skip the navigation system. Did you know that Volkswagen powered race cars were immediate contenders in the racing worlds of the 1950s, growing to dominate them in the next decades. And do you know why William just hanging around being my best friend? It’s my best friend, but it's not always nice to have someone waving to me in my hallway.
